Analyzing Oil and Gas Emissions Intensities

Oil and gas reservoir characteristics and handling have different effects on emissions intensity, inefficiency, and waste. Plot relationships of modeled assets by selecting different supply chain segments and other variables in a drop-down menu. Visualize how major determinants such as years in production, gas-oil ratio (GOR), flare-oil ratio (FOR), and steam-oil ratio (SOR) impact emission segments - such as CO2e, CO2, and methane—using the drop-down menu on the right. Some variables, like GOR and SOR, are largely dictated by the resource type or development phase and may be difficult for operators to change. However, others—such as flaring and venting—are operational levers with known solutions, making them important targets for mitigation efforts.
